Lewis University seeks nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the College of Business and Graduate School of Management. Sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, Lewis University is a comprehensive, coeducational, Catholic institution that serves more than 6,500 undergraduate and graduate students. Lewis University’s educational identity and mission focus are steeped in the traditions of liberal learning, values and preparation for professional life. Lewis offers over 80 undergraduate majors and programs of study, 34 graduate programs (including two doctoral programs) and accelerated programs for working adults. With a total enrollment of 994 students and budget of just over $4 million dollars (including salaries), the College of Business and Graduate School of Management prides itself on student success through one-on-one attention from 27 diverse, dedicated faculty who are experts in their fields and deeply committed to Lewis’ mission and values.
The College of Business offers undergraduate degree programs in: Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Information Security & Risk Management, International Business, Marketing, and Social Media Marketing. The Graduate School of Management offers the following degree programs: the MBA, the M.S. in Business Analytics, Finance, and Project Management, as well as various graduate certificate programs. Adult Undergraduate Programs are conveniently located at different regional campus locations and offer students part-time day, evening and online programs designed for the busy adult. The College of Business and Graduate School of Management is fully accredited by ACBSP.
The Dean of the College of Business and Graduate School of Management reports to the Provost and serves as the senior administrator of the College. The successful candidate will be the principal champion for innovative vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the College and its academic programs. Reporting to the Dean are the Assistant Dean, six Department Chairs, and three administrative staff members.
The President, Provost and College of Business community seek a new dean who is a visionary, strategic leader and a person of high energy who demonstrates a clear, data-driven and collaborative leadership style that equitably balances the needs of the College with the needs of the institution. The successful candidate will possess a terminal degree in an appropriate discipline and/or substantial business experience in a senior leadership position; and have a minimum of five years’ experience in academic leadership or administration, executive positions in the public or private sector, or equivalent experience.
