Faculty Postdoctoral Associate, African American History, 1865-1940

The Rutgers Center for Historical Analysis announces a post-doctoral position for scholars pursuing research in African American History, 1865-1940. The successful applicant must have the doctorate in hand at the time of application and be no more than six years beyond the Ph.D. The position, with a salary of $60,000, is for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second. It includes health benefits and a $5,000 per year research allowance. The primary duties of this post-doc will be to administer and supervise research for the “Scarlet and Black Project” on the history of Native and African Americans in Rutgers History. The recipient will also participate and present in the “Black Bodies” seminar series. Consult and for details.
