Faculty Assistant Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Intensive English
The Intensive English Institute welcomes applicants to apply for a full-time Contract Faculty position for the 2021-2022 Academic Year. Seeking applicants with experience in teaching listening and speaking to English language learners.
Teach a variety of skills-based courses in the Intensive English Institute (reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, etc.); hold office hours; participate in professional development meetings; attend cohort and faculty meetings; serve as a content specialist for listening and speaking; collaborate with the administrative team and IEI colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications: M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or closely related field, or M.A. plus an A)ESL certification, B) language teaching/education coursework or C) language teaching experience; high level of English language proficiency; at least two years of experience teaching at the college of university-level; familiar with Canvas learning management system; ability to work as part of a team; willingness to learn and adapt to departmental expectations.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Second Language Acquisition (SLA) or closely related field by date of appointment; experience in curriculum revision and design; experience with project-based learning and teaching, experience teaching multilevel courses, near-native proficiency in a language other than English.
