Administrative Student Success Specialist, Division of Online & Strategic Learning

This is a remote position. There will be the potential for flexibility with the expectations to maintain an alternative work schedule outside of the traditional Ball State work hours. The Division of Online and Strategic Learning (DOSL) welcomes applications for a Student Success Specialist vacancy. This position provides direct student services, to include but not limited to, recruiting, advising, and administrative support for the delivery of online and blended programs.

Position Function: Contribute to the success of online and blended students by recruiting and advising for assigned online academic programs, guiding prospective students through the inquiry and admissions process, providing support for students to interpret, understand and meet academic requirements and progress specific to their program of study, support and leverage student recruitment activities for the purpose of meeting the program and Division of Online and Strategic Learning goals
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution. One year of relevant experience (for example: teaching, counseling, advising, recruitment, admissions, online/distance program support/administration). Excellent oral and written communication skills; high degree of commitment to customer service; strong focus on detail and task completion; highly organized with good analytical skills; competency in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, database, email and internet applications.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience assisting college-level students; additional years of related experience. Project-based workgroup and/or management experience. Proficient use of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) or enterprise database, preferably a Student Information System.
