The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and W. Harry Feinstone Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology seek to recruit an outstanding scientist as Director of the Johns Hopkins Malaria Research Institute (JHMRI) and Professor of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology.

JHMRI was established in 2001 and supports a broad program of basic research with the goal of generating novel approaches to malaria treatment and control. JHMRI has extensive insectary and core facilities in Baltimore, as well as the JHMRI field site in Macha, Zambia with a molecular lab, insectary and semi-field containment facility. The successful applicant will establish a relevant research program within an interactive environment of investigators interested in the pathogenesis of infectious diseases. Applicants must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree and appropriate experience.
