Administrative Dean, College of Education, Kinesiology & Social Work
California State University, Stanislaus (Stanislaus State) seeks nominations of and applications from accomplished and innovative academic leaders who are committed to social justice, equity and inclusion for consideration as the Dean of the College of Education, Kinesiology and Social Work.
The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the College of Education, Kinesiology and Social Work (EKSW), which comprises five academic departments (Advanced Studies in Education; Kinesiology and Public Health Promotion; Liberal Studies; Social Work; Teacher Education). The mission of the College is “to engage faculty and students in instruction, scholarship, and professional experiences that provide subject-specific, pedagogical, and practical knowledge essential for planning, implementing and assessing educationally-related activities.”
Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rich Ogle, the Dean of the College leads a dedicated team of 51 full-time faculty and 20 staff members who provide a rich mix of programs, which includes a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master of Social Work, four education master’s programs with eight concentrations, four bachelors programs with 25 concentrations, and 10 teacher credential programs at the post baccalaureate level. The college’s Professional programs are accredited with the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC).
