Touro University California is excited to announce an exceptional leadership opportunity for the position of Dean of the College of Health Sciences. As a key member of the campus leadership team, the Dean will provide strategic direction and administrative oversight for a diverse array of health sciences programs, including Nursing, Public Health, Physician Assistant, and Diagnostic Imaging. This role is ideal for a visionary leader committed to academic excellence, innovative program development, and fostering a student-centered learning environment. The Dean will play a critical role in advancing Touro’s mission of educating caring professionals who are prepared to lead and serve in diverse communities.
The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP, DrPH) in a healthcare discipline, with qualifications suitable for appointment at the rank of Professor. A proven track record in higher education administration, particularly in health-related programs, is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in accreditation processes, faculty development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and securing external funding through grants and philanthropic efforts. Additionally, the Dean will embody Touro’s core values of academic excellence, inclusion, compassion, collaboration, and innovation, fostering an environment that supports both faculty and student success.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $175,000 to $210,000 and the opportunity to work in a vibrant, mission-driven academic community located on the historic Mare Island in Vallejo, California.
