Faculty Academic Clinician Positions, Hospitalist Program
The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Internal Medicine is required.
Ideal candidates will have experience as a practicing hospitalist and educator but those with less experience will be considered. The hospitalist group at Penn plays an integral role in the hospital infrastructure and the Internal Medicine Residency Program. There is time and support to pursue individual educational and academic interests in areas such as quality improvement, patient safety, medical education, and informatics. Practice sites are the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia VA Medical Center, and Good Shepherd Penn Partners/Penn Institute for Rehabilitation
Medicine. Clinical work will include long-term acute care (LTACH) settings, consults/surgical co- management, and limited nights. Nocturnist and weekendist positions also available. Teaching is an important component and responsibility in the Academic Clinician Track.
