The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of in the field of Neuroimmunology with a focus on imaging approaches as applied to both innovation in the clinical setting as well as further study of neuroinflammatory conditions of the central nervous system. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, and Neuroimmunology fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include clinical care of patients with Neuroimmunological disorders and participation in a large, multi-disciplinary MS center. This may include inpatient neurology service time in line with the standard clinical department requirements.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from governmental agencies, private foundations, and industry.
