Faculty Assistant Professor, Academic Clinician, Department of Family Medicine & Community Health
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Primary Care with a focus on out-patient Family Medicine; additional expertise in Hospital Medicine, Obstetrics or Sports Medicine optional based on the individual candidate. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidate should be Board certified in Family Medicine; Fellowship training or CAQ optional based on individual candidate.
Teaching responsibilities may include participation in the education of family medicine residents, medical students, and interdisciplinary learner teams as determined by the department Chair.
Clinical responsibilities may include clinical practice in a busy academically-based out-patient practice. Rounding on the adult medicine in-patient service, attending on labor and delivery, and coverage of sports medicine specific sessions optional based on the individual candidate.
Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching Family Medicine students and residents.
