Pennsylvania Hospital and the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor of Clinical Medicine position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an MD or MD/PhD degree. Board certification in Internal Medicine and/or a Medical Specialty is required. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
We are seeking candidates for the position of the Chair of the Department of Medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital. Pennsylvania Hospital is a private, non-profit, teaching hospital located in Center City Philadelphia and is part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Responsibilities include oversight of inpatient and outpatient care, the medical specialty programs, including medical subspecialty clinics; education of Pennsylvania Hospital Department of Medicine residents, rotating fellows, and University of Pennsylvania medical students rotating on the Medical Service. The Chair of Medicine will be expected to collaborate with other clinical and administrative leaders at Pennsylvania Hospitals to expand and sustain a climate of excellence in all missions.
Candidates should possess leadership experience and a distinguished record of strong clinical and educational skills; a demonstrated commitment to clinical, academic, and scholarly missions; and proven excellence in mentorship, leadership, and administration.
