Faculty Pediatric Oncology Faculty Position, Clinician Educator or Tenure Track
The Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of designing and conducting early phase clinical trials in children, adolescents and young adults. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
Assistant Professor candidates must have at least 1 year of experience as an independent faculty member.
Associate or Full Professor candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as an independent faculty member.
Teaching responsibilities may include junior faculty, teaching residents, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students and medical students.
Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and outpatient care, including care of patients enrolled in early phase clinical trials, for Oncology patients at the University City Hospital, and active involvement in fellowship training.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic, translational and clinical research focused on developing new therapies and immunotherapies for children, adolescents and young adults with relapsed and refractory cancers.
Applicants in mid-career with clinical expertise in development and conduct of early phase clinical trials for children, adolescents and young adults with relapsed and refractory cancer. Applicants with prior experience in program management are especially desired.
