Faculty Plastic Surgeon

University of Pennsylvania Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of plastic surgery, with a focus on craniofacial and adult reconstructive surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or eligible for such certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction of medical students and plastic surgery residents and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include building a practice in the full spectrum of plastic surgery, but with concentration on adult craniofacial surgical procedures.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and/or basic science investigations in the field of plastic surgery and, specifically, craniofacial surgery.

Facility with microsurgical procedures is ideal but is not essential. The successful candidate will become a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery and will pursue a practice at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, a fully affiliated member of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Applicants who have completed an accredited craniofacial surgery fellowship will be preferred.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense. The University of Pennsylvania is an EOE. Minorities/women/individuals with disabilities/protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
